MWLC Endorses Patrice Billings!

Patrice Billings

"I retired in 2009 as the chief pilot for the St. Louis County Police Metro Air Support Unit, having become the first female police officer in the U.S. to become a helicopter pilot for a law enforcement agency. I was also a SWAT sniper with the department, trained by Navy SEAL and FBI instructors.  I earned our department's Purple Heart Award in 2001 for injuries sustained in the line of duty. I currently co-own a small business on Main Street in historic St. Charles, MO.

I made the decision last year to run for Missouri State Senate D2 in order to be an advocate for worker's rights, to support efforts to combat the opioid epidemic with a true Prescription Drug Monitoring Program, to stop the erosion of women's reproductive healthcare rights and to stand up the the bullies in our legislature who have become beholden to their dark money, right-wing extremist benefactors.
Senate District 2, located in western St. Charles County, is the most populous senate district in the state. Median income is $74K. The largest employment opportunities are in healthcare, manufacturing and retail. Wentzville is the fastest growing city in the state and as such the demographics are rapidly changing in SD2 with a more diverse and younger population. Women make up 51% of the population." - Patrice Billings

It takes big money to run. Please make a generous donation to the MWLC PAC to provide this important financial support to Patrice and other progressive women who are running for State office from areas outside Missouri's two major cities.
